Hello Debit Card; Goodbye ATM Card
Switch from your old HSBC ATM card to your new HSBC Visa Debit Card.
Effective December 2009, HSBC UAE has migrated to chip Debit Cards from proprietary ATM cards.
The New HSBC Visa Debit Card comes with a world of benefits:
- Accepted for purchases in over 28,000 retail outlets in the UAE
- Welcomed in over 25 million outlets around the world where the Visa logo is displayed
- Enabled with chip technology to help safeguard against counterfeiting
The HSBC Visa Debit Card also acts as your ATM card. You can withdraw cash from any of the following ATMs:
- All HSBC ATMs worldwide
- Over 1,000 ATMs in the UAE displaying the UAE SWITCH logo
- Over 1 million ATMs globally displaying the Visa/Plus logo
While some customers may have already received their HSBC Debit Card(s), others can expect to receive their Debit Card(s) which will replace their HSBC ATM card(s) eventually.
Due to security reasons, HSBC ATM cards belonging to customers for whom HSBC Debit Cards have been issued will be deactivated shortly.
Please destroy your HSBC ATM card(s) to prevent misuse and instead use your HSBC Debit Card for your cash withdrawals and purchases.
If you have not yet received your new HSBC Debit Card, or if you have other account(s) which are not linked to HSBC Debit Card(s) or need separate HSBC Debit Card(s) for different account(s), please call us today.
