HSBC’s support for rugby spans six continents and includes sponsorship of the HSBC Asian 5 Nations, HSBC Sevens World Series, Principal Partner of the British and Irish Lions 2013 Tour to Australia, and co-title sponsor of the Cathay Pacific / HSBC Hong Kong Sevens.
Throughout the Middle East HSBC has built a series of partnerships in rugby to help support the growth of the game. Partnerships that are aimed at increasing participation at all ages and encouraging more young people to get active.
From our sponsorship of the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens, to the pan-Middle East HSBC Youth Rugby Series tournaments, to our new partnership with the UAE Rugby Association, we are committed to the development of the sport.

Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens
HSBC is delighted to be a proud sponsor of the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens, part of the HSBC Sevens World Series.
2011 saw the return of the HSBC Premier Suite to the Sevens, offering exclusive hospitality on site for all HSBC Premier Customers and their guests, whilst the first 250 HSBC customers to arrive each day of the tournament received free admission.

HSBC Ambassadors
Around the world HSBC has built up a team of international rugby legends who are the HSBC Rugby Ambassadors. Icons of the game including Gavin Hastings, Jonathan Davies, Gordon Tietjens, Jason Robinson and George Gregan, are all part of the HSBC team and may well be seen at an HSBC rugby event in the Middle East very soon.

HSBC Youth, Education and Community Rugby
Across the Middle East our Youth, Education and Community rugby initiatives play a major part in HSBC’s commitment to help grow the game and increase participation amongst young people.
Our comprehensive programme includes the HSBC Youth Rugby Series – a competition bringing together four HSBC-sponsored junior rugby festivals across the region. New for 2012 the programme also includes our new sponsorship of the UAE Rugby Association’s Player Pathway Programme – a new initiative aimed at increasing participation of rugby within government schools in the UAE.
Throughout the season HSBC grassroots rugby initiatives take place across the Middle East.
