Sole Account

You need to complete the Current Account opening process by personally visiting any of our Branch or Customer Service Centres, with the following documents:

  • Original passport (for all customers)
  • Valid residence visa (for non-GCC National customers only)
  • Proof of UAE residence in the form of either a utility bill/rental agreement/employment letter (for GCC National customers only)
  • Original labour card/work ID (for female applicants on father's/husband's sponsorship)
  • Original trade license (for all self-employed customers)

Joint Account

Both you and your joint applicant(s) need to complete the Current Account opening process by personally visiting any of our Branch or Customer Service Centres, with the following documents:

  • Original passport (for all customers)

d) Above charges are for HSBC UAE charges only. Other banks, including HSBC offices abroad, may deduct their charges from the remittance amount. USD25 will be charged as our correspondent bank charges for all USD transfers where the final beneficiary is not HSBC in the US.
e) Non-HSBC beneficiary bank charges on telegraphic transfers are not guaranteed by HSBC or our correspondents. Some non-HSBC beneficiary banks in the United States may still deduct their charges from the total remittance amount.
