It is a Shariah-compliant short to medium-term investment solution that allows customers to earn returns in a Shariah-compliant manner.
Your funds in this product will be invested in commodities (metals) which you will sell to the Bank on the basis of Murabaha contract - sale of assets at a cost plus stated profit.
The transaction is quick, easy and straightforward:
You will buy commodities (metals) from brokers operating in international markets through an appointed agent
Once the appointed agent has purchased your commodities, you will then sell these commodities to the Bank at a fixed price (purchase price plus agreed profit rate) payable after a pre-determined investment period/tenor.
At the end of the investment period, the Bank will pay the price of the commodities into your account with an option to reinvest for an additional term.
Amanah Term Investments has been certified and approved by the HSBC Shariah Supervisory Committee which comprises four of the most eminent scholars in the field of Islamic Finance.
