If you are already an HSBC Premier customer here in the UAE (or in any other country) then you automatically qualify for an account with HSBC Expat.

If you choose to bank solely with HSBC Expat you must maintain a minimum relationship balance of GBP60,000, or currency equivalent, across all HSBC Expat accounts and investments. HSBC Premier is free of monthly charges, however, a GBP35 underfunding fee will apply for any given month where your Relationship Balance falls below the minimum, if you do not have a qualifying Premier account elsewhere.

HSBC Bank International Limited, incorporated in Jersey, is regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission for Banking, General Insurance Mediation, Investment and Fund Services Business.

2 Applies to transfers made through our Global View Global Transfer service available via Internet Banking.

3 Your home or property may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. You should be aware of the potential risk of foreign exchange rates changing, so if you convert your money back to the original currency, you may incur a loss as a result of movements in the markets. Global View and Global Transfers are not available in all countries. Before you can make a Global Transfer your accounts will need to be linked. Foreign currency exchange rates may apply.

4 Your tax obligations: While banking offshore may have tax related benefits for you, tax rules differ from country to country. If you're unsure about your personal tax obligations, you should seek professional advice. It's your responsibility to disclose your income to the tax authorities. The International Tax Service is provided by Ernst & Young. EY refers to the global organisation of member firms of Ernst & Young Global Limited, each of which is a separate legal entity. Ernst & Young Global Limited, a UK company limited by guarantee, does not provide tax services to clients.
