Main Covers 

  • Unexpected events and natural calamities

    Your home is insured against damages caused by Accidental Damages and events such as fire, lightning, earthquake, flood, storm, malicious damage, riot, strike, water leak, theft and more.
  • Alternative accommodation

    If your home is damaged by an insured incident and its condition does not allow you to continue to live there, AXA will pay expenses (as per policy coverage) for loss of rent or alternative accommodation.
  • Tenants' liability

    This extension protects you from damages caused to the premises rented by you following an insured incident (as per policy coverage) and for which you are held legally liable.
  • Legal liability

    Legal liability cover for claims made against you by third parties who suffer injury, loss or damage following an incident at your home.
  • While you're away

    You are covered when your home is unoccupied for up to 60 days.
  • Stolen keys

    If the keys to the locks of your home are stolen then AXA will pay the cost of replacing locks or lock mechanisms.
  • Frozen food

    AXA will cover deterioration of food stored in your freezer following its breakdown or failure of public power supply.
  • Visitors' personal effects

    AXA will cover for loss or damage to visitors' personal effects if damaged at your home due to any insured incident.
  • Contents in the open

    AXA will cover those contents which are kept in the open (as per the policy coverage).
  • Household removals

    AXA will cover your contents while in transit, when you're moving from one house to the other within the country using a professional mover.


Optional cover

  • Tenant's Liability Cover

    AXA will, for an additional cost, increase your tenant's liability to a figure of up to AED 5,000,000, to cover your liability as a tenant.
  • Personal belongings

    • Personal effects including clothing plus specified and listed items such as jewellery, watches, musical, photographic and sports equipment, laptops or any valuable item which you carry outside your home on business or holiday. Cover is on a worldwide basis against all risks (as per policy coverage)
    • Loss of money and credit cards - Cover for loss of money and fraudulent use of your credit cards if stolen
    • Loss of passport, driving license, residence permit, work permit- AXA will pay the costs involved in making a duplicate of any of the above documents if they are accidentally damaged or lost
  • Domestic helpers

    AXA will provide protection if you wish to insure your domestic helper(s) who sustains accidental bodily injury which results in death or permanent total disablement, including cover for medical expenses as well as repatriation expenses.

What is meant by Contents? 

Household goods and personal effects belonging to you like your furniture, kitchen ware, paintings etc.

What is meant by Personal belongings? 

Items like jewellery, watches, mobile phones that categorized under personal belongings. These items are covered worldwide.

What is difference between Contents & Personal belongings? 

Contents only cover items within the house, while Personal belongings cover items that can be carried outside the house.
If I list an item under Personal belongings, do I need to list it under Contents as well?
No, when an item is listed under Personal belonging, it also provides for cover within the house.

What is Personal Liability insurance coverage? 

Personal liability covers you and all the family members who live with you for damages and claimant's costs for Accidental Bodily Injury and Accidental loss or damage to material property.
