How it works

You can track any recent transfers you've made in the HSBC UAE app. Here's how to do it:

Log on to the HSBC UAE app and select 'Pay and transfer‘
In the 'Payment management' section, select 'International payment tracker'
Select the transfer you want to see its current status and tracking details

The tracker only keeps records for 60 days from the date the payment is submitted. However, you can refer to your bank statement to view any older payments.

Log on to the HSBC UAE app and select 'Pay and transfer‘.
Select 'Send money internationally', then select the country or territory you're sending money to. You'll have different transfer options to choose from depending on the destination you choose.
Select 'HSBC to HSBC Payment' if you're sending money internationally to another HSBC account.
Select 'HSBC Global Money Transfer' if you're sending money outside HSBC.
Select the currency and amount you want to send.
Select an existing payee or add a new one.
Review all the details and select 'Confirm'. Once you do this, you won't be able to cancel the transaction.

We don't currently support future dated and recurring Global Money Transfers and HSBC to HSBC Payment.

Log on and select 'Pay and transfer'.
Select the account you're sending money from, then choose the relevant options for your payee. (You'll need a Secure Key if you're sending money to a new recipient for the first time).
Enter the payment details.
Review all the details and select 'Confirm'.

We don't currently support future dated and recurring Global Money Transfers and HSBC to HSBC Payment.

The HSBC SWIFT code is BBME AEAD.

You'll need to use this when making international payments.

You can find out your IBAN by entering your account details into our IBAN generator.

Alternatively, you can find your own IBAN in online banking by selecting the account and viewing its details. Your IBAN should be listed on your online or printed statements, at the top of the first page.

In HSBC UAE Mobile app go to the account details screen, select the activity bar and slide down to view your IBAN.

When you send money to someone for the first time in online banking and the HSBC UAE app, we'll ask you to authorise the transaction by generating a one-time transaction code on your Secure Key. This is a security step that verifies your credentials. It also increases security against possible fraud attacks which can be potentially caused by malware.

are registered for online and mobile banking

This product/service may be affected by changes in foreign currency exchange rates.

Correspondent and receiving banks may charge additional fees when they process the transaction.

Penalties and Fees may be applied if there is a customer error or omission in providing correct or incomplete remittance information and may cause a rejection of, or delays in, the transfer. We shall not be held liable for any potential loss.

The actual time to complete a transaction may differ from estimates due to increased scrutiny of transactions by the financial institution or entity providing financial services to the beneficiary of remittances.

For recall of payments, please contact us by any of the means listed at https://www.hsbc.ae/help/contact/. We may charge payment recall fee. We cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to recall the payment successfully.

We use the HSBC foreign exchange rate to work out the VAT charges on foreign transaction fees.
