Ways to close your account |
If you no longer want to use your account, you can close it using the HSBC UAE app, in a branch or by phone. Whichever method you use, the account needs to have a balance of zero when you close it.
Before your account is closed, make sure you:
- Repay any amounts you owe us
- Cancel any payments into or out of your account
- Destroy any unused cheques and cards. You can do this by cutting them into at least 6 pieces
- Replace any cheques made out to third parties with another payment method
