How do I temporarily block my credit or debit card - and unblock it again?
To put a temporary block on a credit/debit card:

Log on to the HSBC UAE app.

Go to 'Cards'.

Select the card.

Tap 'Block Card' or 'Unblock Card'.

Blocking your primary card doesn't block your supplementary cards.
How do I reset my mobile banking PIN?
If you forget your mobile PIN, you can quickly reset it in the HSBC UAE app:

Agree to validate your identity online via Emirates Facial Recognition

Scan your ID document to verify your identity - you can use either Emirates ID or passport

Take a video selfie

Reset your 6-digit PIN

That's it, you're done
How do I make an international transfer in the app?
Log on to the HSBC UAE app and select 'Pay‘.

Select 'International payments', then select the country or territory you're sending money to. You'll have different transfer options to choose from depending on the destination you choose.

Select 'HSBC to HSBC Payment' if you're sending money internationally to another HSBC account

Select 'HSBC Global Money Transfer' if you're sending money outside HSBC.

Select the currency and amount you want to send.

Select an existing payee or add a new one

Review all the details and select 'Confirm'. Once you do this, you won't be able to cancel the transaction.

We don't currently support future dated and recurring Global Money Transfers and HSBC to HSBC Payment.
How do I log on to the app / mobile banking?
You have 3 options for logging on to mobile banking in the HSBC UAE app:

6-digit mobile PIN you created when you registered

FaceID, if this is enabled on your device

Fingerprint or TouchID, if this is enabled on your device

You'll need to be using your registered device.
Why can't I log on to the HSBC UAE app on my new device?

For security, you can only set up the HSBC UAE app on one device at a time. To use the app on a new device, you’ll need to deregister your existing device in the HSBC UAE app first, then set up the app on your new device.
