Find out how to update the addresses we hold for you on file

What addresses can be changed

  • correspondence - where you receive mail
  • residential - where you currently reside
  • home address - an address you're registered at outside the UAE (if applicable)

Update correspondence address in online banking

If you're registered for online banking, you can log on using your Secure Key to update your correspondence address in just a few steps.

Step 1

Select the 'Log on' button at the top right corner of your screen.

Step 2

Log in with your Secure Key.

Step 3

When logged in, under quick links to the right choose 'personal details'.

Step 4

Choose to update your address and follow the steps on screen. Remember to keep your Secure Key close since some actions require re-authentication to be completed. We will contact you within 2 days if there are any issues or if reverification is needed.

Update residential address through a secure message in online banking

Residential addresses can only be updated by sending a secure message.

Step 1

Select 'Log on' in the top right hand corner of your screen. Next, enter your security code and press 'Log on'.

Step 2

Once you've logged on, select 'Help and Support' at the top of the screen to display more options. Then, under the first column select 'Update residential address'.

Step 3

On the next screen, a secure message will already be written for you in the box next to 'Your message'. You can now update your address by editing this message. Press 'Send' once you've done this.

Step 4

All done! Your message has been sent and your address will be updated within 2 working days. We aim to respond to your request within 2 working days if there are any issues or if reverification is needed.

Update all addresses through phone banking

If you're registered for phone banking, you can call us and once we've verified you as a customer, we can update your residential or correspondence address. Verify yourself using your phone banking PIN or through Voice ID.

Premier customers

Call us on 800 4320 (within UAE) or +971 4 224 1000 (outside UAE)1.

Advance customers

Call us on 800 4420 (within UAE) or +971 4 325 4573 (outside UAE)1.

Personal banking customers

Call us on 600 55 4722 (within UAE) or +971 4 228 8007 (outside UAE)1.

Visit a branch

Come to your nearest branch and we’ll be happy to help you. Please remember to bring your Emirates ID or passport with you so we can easily check who you are.

To amend your residential address please bring one of the following as additional proof of address:

  • tenancy contract along with either Ejari or government attestation
  • utility bill with full residential address issued within the last four months
  • telephone bill with full residential address issued within the last four months
  • for shared accommodation/dependents, address confirmation from the actual tenant along with any of the above
  • an official letter from a government department or tax authority, detailing the full residential address, issued within the last four months
