How to fund your account
Before you can start investing with HSBC WorldTrader, you’ll need to move some money into your investment funding account. Watch our video or follow the step-by-step instructions below to find out how to do this through the HSBC UAE app.
You can also fund your account through online banking, our branches, ATMs or direct transfers from other banks.
Step-by-step instructions
1. Log on to the HSBC UAE app
Log on to the HSBC UAE app and select ‘Pay and transfer’ at the bottom of the screen.
2. Select a transfer type
On the pay and transfer screen, select ‘Transfer locally in the UAE’.
3. Select which accounts to use
Select which of your current or savings accounts you’d like to transfer funds from. Then choose which investment funding account you'd like to transfer the money into.
4. Choose how much to transfer
Enter the amount you’d like to transfer to your investment funding account in your chosen currency, then select 'Continue'.
5. Review and confirm
Review and confirm the transfer. Once you’ve done that, your funds will be available in your investment funding account.
6. Your funds are ready
Finally, log on to the WorldTrader app. The money you’ve transferred will be ready and waiting to invest.
